Living a healthy life is also a big commitment because of the amount of time it consumes; wherein college students are always sleep deprived. Nobody, who has a limited budget, has the time to eat healthy (pricey) food. To top it off, gym memberships are also too expensive and would require equal amount of commitment to exhaust the worth of it.
